There are four (4) people who assign kill/collection type writs at any one time, and one (1) person who assigns crafting-based writs. The level of the writ determines the amount of personal status awarded and the person assigning the writ determines the faction adjustment (positive and negative). The amount of guild status awarded is dependant upon your standing within the guild (if you are flagged as a Patron) and how many Patrons your guild has.
Completing a quest will raise your faction with the quest giver's guild/group, while lowering your faction with the other four (4) guild/groups. To maintain a balance, you must complete the same number of quests for each guild/group or you risk unfavorable results.
When you move from one tier of writs to another (every ten (10) levels), you must speak with with Royal Accountant Fowler in Qeynos Harbor who introduces you to your next writ giver.
