A few notes -------------- I.1 About this document This document is an informational resource for the action puzzle dice game XI [sai] (PSX, Shift/SCEI). In this document, I will be listing solutions for the puzzles in "Random" Puzzle Mode, the puzzle mode which becomes available after one has finished all 100 normal puzzle stages. This document is based upon the J version of the game. I don't know offhand whether the "Random" puzzles are the same in the U/C version ("Devil Dice"), though I suspect that they probably are. This document is currently a work in progress, to be complete (i.e. with solutions for all 1000 stages) when the document version number reaches 1.0. The solutions presented in this document are not necessarily the only solutions, or the most efficient, or the most elegant... but are merely solutions I've found that work. All solutions presented so far, however, are Sixes solutions, and so will earn you at least one Star each. I.2 About "Random" mode "Random" Mode is not, as one may at first assume, a mode that creates a stage randomly each time you play. =) Rather, the "Random" refers to the selection process, which randomly assigns you one of the 1000 stages to start from (you get to proceed in order from there). Of course, if you want to start with a specific stage, just keep hitting left on the d-pad at the Random select until you get a stage near where you want to start, then press down to scroll forward (towards JJJ), or up to scroll back (towards AAA). Each of the 1000 "Random" Mode puzzles (designated AAA through JJJ (side note: if you assign A=0,B=1,...J=9, then the puzzles can be "numbered" from 000 to 999)) is made up of 6 dice on a 4x4 field, and gives you 20 Steps to complete the puzzle. Completed puzzles will be listed in yellow, while non-completed puzzles will be listed in white. Finishing a puzzle with Sixes will earn you a Star for that puzzle. Additionally, if you finish (with Sixes) with 5 or more Steps remaining, you will earn a second Star.
